To provide analysis and application development solutions and support for IT applications, processes, and technologies. Predominately, but not limited to analysis, coding and integration within the IBM i environment.


  • Provide production support for existing applications and technologies, research and resolve functional issues, and analyze and develop new systems to meet company needs;
  • Review and analyze requirements/enhancement specifications provided by users orally or in written format;
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of service requests raised by internal users, customers, or vendors to determine the appropriate course of action;
  • Transform software designs and specifications into high-functioning and well-documented code utilizing technologies available;
  • Troubleshoot real-time production issues to ensure seamless production of software applications within the prescribed productivity timeframe;
  • Record and document any new or changing operational procedures associated with development and maintenance projects;
  • Support testing groups in which are responsible for ensuring that all programs and application are functioning correctly in accordance with enhancement specifications by testing and helping resolve any fixes necessary;
  • Test code periodically to ensure it produces the desirable results and perform debugging when necessary;
  • Identify and recommend solutions to support and enhance company operations;
  • Minimize functional service requests by assuring that static data and set-ups are correctly configured;
  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Mathematics or related field of study, or equivalent work experience;
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications as a programmer or in a relevant role;
  • High level of experience and ability working with RPGIV ILE, SQL, CL, RPG/400;
  • Demonstrable ability to analyze, troubleshoot and remediate errors in application code;
  • Working knowledge of JD Edwards World is required;
  • Working knowledge of Web Services, FTP;
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and other PC-based technologies;
  • Ability to manage projects from requirements gathering through analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation;
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
