Overview

The purpose of the Store Manager is to oversee and supervise the operation of the store and store associates with the assistance and direction from the District Manager(DM). to Maintain high standards and the image of Don Roberto Jewelers while conducting the store according to company policy, procedures and guidelines. 

Responsibilities

  • Develop staff to achieve and actively work to exceed assigned sales and credit quotas. 
  • Recruit, hire and terminate staff as needed.
  • Evaluate subordinate staff on overall performance as it relates to their duties and responsibilities.
  • Work with DM and suggest appropriate internal changes such as promotions.  
  • Maintain proper store coverage while keeping within the allotted hours provided for the location. 
  • Resolve all customer and employee related issues with the help of the corresponding DM. 
  • Oversee the sales and credit operations within the store. 
  • Assure that each subordinate associate is expressing the best customer service possible at all times. 
  • Control security with regards to keys, security codes, inventory, safety, shipping and receiving. 
  • Ensure that each associate remains in compliance with their day to day functions and follows company policies at all times. 
  • Take responsibility for ensuring that the appointed store is opened and closed appropriately each day. 
  • Provide corporate office with appropriate documentations as needed in a timely manner. 

Qualifications

  • 2-5 years in a retail and/or credit management position, preferably in jewelry
  • Strong leadership skills 
  • Great problem solving skills
  • Written and verbal fluency in English and Spanish highly preferred
