    The Human Resources Training Specialist has the full responsibility over the portfolio of training programs and courses for the organization. The training specialist is an expert in finding gaps in skills and competencies of employees and delivers the tailored training program. The specialist implements new training programs, revises the current ones for optimum results in close cooperation within human resources and upper management


    • Identify and assess training needs within the organization.
    • Oversees/Approves Company information on the Intranet.
    • Conduct surveys, evaluates results and communicate findings to required personnel.
    • Train employees for specific position requirements and organizational procedures.
    • Develop, organize, conduct and evaluate training programs.
    • Create teaching materials. Hold meetings and presentations on learning material.
    • Ability to research, source and create onboarding training techniques to fast track hiring process.
    • Strong interpersonal and organizational skills required; ability to conduct oneself at a high level of professionalism and communication with various personnel levels.
    • Analytical skills.Training and development specialists must evaluate training programs, methods, and materials, and choose those that best fit each situation.
    • Instructional skills.Training and development specialists often deliver training programs to employees. They use a variety of teaching techniques and sometimes must adapt their methods to meet the needs of particular groups.
    • Interpersonal skills.Training and development specialists need strong interpersonal skills because delivering training programs requires collaborating with instructors, trainees, and subject-matter experts. They also accomplish much of their work through teams.
    • Speaking skills.Speaking skills are essential for training and development specialists because they often give presentations. Specialists must communicate information clearly and facilitate learning by diverse audiences.
    • Interprets company policies and procedures accurately; consistently in alignment with management training programs. Ensures that all store personnel receive and adheres to DRJ procedural training(s) related to employment, operational requirements and skills applicable to daily operations.
    • Stay abreast of the new trends and tools in training and development. Develops training plans for sourcing, strategic planning and implementation of processes for cost effectiveness and low overhead for the organization.
    • Manages the communication, execution and implementation of the company’s overall training strategies with the Vice President, Vice President of Operations, Director of Human Resources and when necessary with the District Managers and Store Managers
    • Direct learning experiences and monitor their quality results. Improve organization attractiveness by monitoring training feedback and results. Assist with minimizing employee turnover for the organization and support training strategies to achieve higher retention.
    • Partners with the Human Resources team to facilitate employee onboarding training on all training procedures.
    • Coordinates necessary HR training analysis, audits and reports in a professional manner to monitor employee training and development process.


    • Bachelor’s degree or Certification in Human Resources training or related field strongly preferred.
    • Minimum 5 years of HR experience or Training experience in a related field or industry.
    • Prior experience in HR training practices and/or skill development services.
    • Prior training experience in a retail environment strongly preferred.
    • Bi-lingual English Spanish fluency required in speaking, reading, and writing.
    • Phone Skills, People Skills, Supports Diversity, Employment Law Training, Results Driven, Organization, Multi-Tasking, Project Management and Good Decision-Making Skills.
    • Familiarity and abilities to effectively and efficiently use Microsoft Office computer skills in
      Word, Excel, and Power Point.
    • Familiarity with HR databases, applicant tracking systems (ATS) and CMS.
